“Alex facilitated a joint staff retreat for two Save the Children teams who had come through a complex and challenging restructure process – the purpose of the retreat was to remotivate these staff, build a strong team dynamic, clarify new roles and responsibilities and ways of working, and equip individuals with some particular awareness and skills to succeed in their roles.
Alex was involved all the way through the process, from the planning of the overall retreat, the design of specific sessions, and the facilitation of the entire three days. The content of the sessions was consistently creative, engaging and practical –the energy was never allowed to drop. And throughout, Alex maintained a very helpful balance of supporting and challenging the staff in order to get the maximum impact. The retreat was a great success, with many staff noting the natural, honest environment created. We would highly recommend her.” Francis Woods, Director of Programme Support & Quality Improvement, Save the Children International |

"Alexandra was able to build trust with the group and was quite effective in pushing the group slightly out of our comfort zone. The discussions were filled with passion, were authentic and really enabled us to get the best out of our time together.
Alexandra’s skilled facilitation not only enabled us to develop a good product (Kribi Work Plan), but paved the way for a stronger sense of purpose and trust for the Cameroon staff to work with each other. Dorothy Madison-Seck, Country Representative CRS “Alex’s guidance and creative alternatives to death by powerpoint really strengthened the overall meeting and her facilitation set a very comfortable tone throughout the week. I can’t imagine any of us having been able to plan and execute such a successful meeting without her!” Jesse Hartness, Director, Emergency Health and Nutrition, Save the Children Alex worked with us to develop and lead the facilitation of a leadership and management programme for our middle managers to build their confidence and capability in motivating and managing others, with a focus on results/purpose-based approaches to managing, rather than a task-based approach. The programme was thoughtful, well-designed, and tailored to the specific realities of NRC-Jordan. Over the last 2 years almost 150 of our managers have been on this programme and (it has) addressed some of the real people management challenges during the rapid scale up of NRC-Jordan over the past 5 years. Working with Alex was a joy. Patient, thoughtful and calm through the development stage of the programme and then during the implementation of the programme it is fair to say she is well organised and simply an amazing facilitator and a very large part of why our programme had the impact it did.
